I'd like to add my voice to the above comments. Pema organised a great crew for our trek which undoubtedly helped in the smooth running and very successful outcome of our trek. We were covering difficult ground but the inevitable problems were quickly sorted. Getting 45 people over sherpani and west cols safely is a mammoth task but doing it in one (admittedly long) day is something else. If you are looking for someone to take you trekking Pema would be a very good choice - Thanks Pema

I was on the same trek as Martin. I would entirely agree with his comments. The trip is very challenging and success is dependent on having the highest quality of support team. Pema's team was first rate, one of the most efficient and skilled that I have encountered in over 20years of trekking in Nepal.

In spring 2011 I trekked from Tumlingtar to Lukla, through Makalu base Camp and over the Sherpani and West Cols and the Amphu Labtsa. The trek was run by Pematrek and The Mountain Company. The trek was outstandingly well organised. This is regarded as the most difficult trek in Nepal, but all the members completed it successfully. The quality, skill, friendliness and helpfulness of the sherpas, cook team and porters was extremely high, led by Pema himself. A very high quality team is absolutely necessary for this trek as it is very difficult and challenging terrain. I think many teams I have trekked with would not have been capable of this route, but Pema's team absolutely were!
