Hi Sergey,
Well no agency should give you a permit without guide. So I can't recommend one specifically.
But try a local Dolpa agency - Cloud Goats or Explore Dolpa. Use search box above to find.
Good luck!

Answer from Crystal mountain treks:

My understanding is that a trekker must be accompanied by a guide from a registered trekking company. It is a RESTRICTED area and there are more rules for trekking in this region although there are NOT many checkpoints to enforce the rules. But, that said, I have seen a lot of independent groups trekking in the Manaslu area without a guide. So, maybe, if you are able to work with a trekking company for permits, you can travel to Dolpo without a guide. Not 100% sure though.

This question also interests me. Whether there are any Gov. laws which oblige any treking group (as min.of 2 persons) necessarily to have the guide? If such laws are not present - how it is necessary to make out permit without the guide? So - what I mean Whether the treking agency is have the power to give up (refuse) treker in obtaining permit without guide?
In advance - thanks to GHT Admin for reply.

This from Firante treks:

Yes, you need to be authorized trekking agency to make the permit, and too you need to take trekking guide from that agency, because if anything happens with clients or any other things then agency is responsible so no one like to take risk on that, and too on the check points.

Means it is a restricted area, requires a permit and the standard rule of group (two+ trekkers) plus guide applies!

Sorry for any confusion!

Hi,
from you answer it looks like that is possible to go without a guide. I asked on lonely planet forum and they said me that I must have guide.
It is really confusing.
I have experience from Everest trek and Langtang t. and I would prefer to go without guide.
Thank you

You must buy permit in Kathmandu through a registered trekking agent.
You might find a porter in Juphal, but I'd recommend organising it in advance through someone like http://www.thegreathimalayatrail.org/2071/cloud-goats-trekking/
Otherwise you can get there and find nobody, or be in a weak bargaining position on price.

Dear Andreas,
It is pretty easy to follow the trail. There are 1 or 2 parts where the trail is divding though. In near future signage should be put there. For the time being, the way to deal with it is ask the locals!

Taking a guide has it advantages however. Besides of taking you on the correct trail, a guide can be useful during your stay at the local guesthouses, as the owners hardly speak any English. Besides, if you would get hurt or ill, a guide could come in handy.

Before going on the trek, you do need the help of a trekking agency to arrange your permit for Dolpa.

Please don't hesitate to ask any further questions!

Best,
Linda

Hey everybody,

Is it easy to follow the trail or is it better to go with a guide who knows the route? I've have walked the Mount Everest base camp trek, there I found it easy to find my way.

Thanks in advance!

The permit fee for Lower Dolpa is $10 per week (The Dolpa Experience Circuit and Phoksundo Nature Experience Trek require only the Lower Dolpa permit).

Trip costs: flights to and from Dolpo are US$ 492 (let's say $ 500 including all taxes). You can go by yourself and spend around $20 / day. Local agents charge ~$50 a person a day, including guide and porter(s)
